The entire staff of Clarity Pointe Knoxville shares a passion and dedication for elevating the quality of life for Alzheimer’s and dementia care residents, their families and their caregivers. They are focused on providing superior care and programming; they're personally interested in ensuring residents age in place, while enjoying an uplifting and enjoyable lifestyle; and are committed to being a resource for families and caregivers.

Kathy Coffey, Executive Director

Kathy has served as Clarity Pointe Knoxville’s Executive Director since February 2014. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and Performance at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN, and has worked in the healthcare field for more than 30 years. Just before joining Clarity Pointe, she celebrated her 15th anniversary as Marketing Director for a local assisted living community. Prior to her work in assisted living, she was Director of Priority Healthcare, a local home health agency serving 16 counties in Tennessee. Kathy feels extremely fortunate to be part of Life Care Services and the Clarity Pointe Knoxville team. Her love and compassion for seniors makes her a great fit for Clarity Pointe Knoxville.

Mary Lynne Payne, Director of Community Relations

Mary Lynne brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience to her role as Director of Community Relations. She was a Sales Specialist and Account Executive for Aramis Designer Fragrances and Elizabeth Arden corporations, responsible for sales, marketing, and product management for the Eastern Tennessee region, and joined Clarity Pointe Knoxville “before the doors opened” to drive regional awareness and pre-sales.

Mary Lynne does a wonderful job of educating professionals and the community-at-large about the unique person-centered programming that is the heart and soul of caring for Clarity Pointe’s residents. She understands that our nationally recognized Heartfelt CONNECTIONS™ memory care program helps residents and staff connect in a way that encourages every day successes. Her knowledge, kind heart and warm smile welcome families who are looking for “just the right fit” for their loved one.

Traci Moats, Director of Health Services 

Traci brings a 20-year history in long-term healthcare to her position at Clarity PointeTM Knoxville. Starting out as a certified nursing assistant, she went on to nursing school, graduating in 2000. She worked as a charge nurse in a skilled facility for several years, and then worked at Clarity Pointe as a charge nurse, weekend supervisor and Interim Director of Health Services. Traci briefly left Clarity Pointe Knoxville to accept a position with another community as the Director of Resident Services, but she returned to Clarity Pointe a year later to serve as our Director of Health Services.  

Traci has a passion for working in memory care and truly feels as though she has found her calling. Her grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and eventually passed away, giving Traci the true understanding of the serious impact this disease can have on families. Traci holds several Alzheimer’s and dementia certifications and is happy to be part of the Clarity Pointe team.

Melanie McGill, Business Office Manager

Melanie McGill Kish joined the Clarity Pointe Knoxville team in October 2016 as our Business Manager. She has more than 15 years experience in the Business Manager roll, with eight years of that being in long term facilities setting. She is a great asset to our team and expresses that she is thankful and
blessed to be able to be part of the Clarity Pointe Knoxville team. We are extremely proud to have her with us. Residents and families will find Melanie as a kind and compassionate person willing to help them in any way.

Michael Snipes, Director of Culinary Services

Marley Hayes, Director of Life Enrichment

Marley Hayes is the newest member to the Clarity Pointe Knoxville team. She will be working as the Director of Life Enrichment in her new roll. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville specializing in Recreational Therapy. She received her certification in Recreation Therapy in August 2016. She has worked with adults and children with multiple disabilities, but most of her experience has been with geriatrics. Marley, along with Erica Lombardo, RN, will help manage staff training for our Heartfelt CONNECTIONS™ program. They will lead the team in promoting the benefits of the program to our team members. Her passion and kindness are definitely at the center of our memory care programming. 

Tom Overton, Maintenance Director

Tom has worked with Clarity Pointe Knoxville as Maintenance Director since its opening. His experience includes maintenance positions within the hospitality, hotel, business and assisted living industries. Tom oversees the housekeeping staff, and helps maintain commons areas, as well as our residents’ individual suites. He has an F endorsement Driver’s License, and enjoys transporting residents to outside activities, when needed.
